Summer is halfway done (which is ridiculous, to be honest), so I figured it’s a good time to share the things that have made it better.
Book: ‘The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires’ by Grady Hendrix
I’m pretty late to the party, but still, this story made my June. When it’s scorching-hot outside (and believe me when I say it, the weather in Istanbul threatens to turn me into ashes, so I don’t envy local vampires), I crave something summery, but not-that-cozy. This novel was a perfect mixture of ‘housewives sneaking around to read crime fiction’ and ‘grotesque horrors looking to devour said housewives and their children’.
