I somehow dove into lighthearted, fun fantasy this month, and I absolutely loved it.

Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales, Heather Fawcett

(Emily Wilde Series #3)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These series never fail to give me the exact right fall atmosphere. Faeries, academics, curses, and a bit of romance – a perfect combination for October.

Going Postal, Terry Pratchett

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Weirdly, this ended up being my favorite Discworld novel so far. The protagonist is as fun as his name is stupid, the stakes are very mild, and the humor is, as always, exquisite.

The Enchanted Greenhouse, Sarah Beth Durst

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Adorable cozy fantasy with talking plants, a grumpy gardener, and a magical crisis that only the MC can solve.

This Princess Kills Monsters, Ry Herman

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

‘In the face of that unattainable standard, I’d only ever had two options: Try and live up to it, and fail. Or try to rebel against it, and fail even harder.’

This was a delightful fairytail-y novel with an irreverent heroine and a lot of fun adventures. Also, the evil stepmother is my new book crush.
